My late great, great grandfather, "Papaw" Briscoe, always called the young boys Colonels and the young girls Crickets and from that came the inspiration to name this blog Colonels & Crickets. This blog and these stories are not only for your enjoyment, but hopefully for your children's enjoyment as well. Hopefully, this blog will help cast a vision of just how important our stories and heritage is and how we must always plan, educate and cast a vision for the next generation. May everything we do, be for posterity's sake.
